ArtReach Festival of Trees Returns: Colorado Artists Drive Visions of Christmas Then and Now to 40 West Arts District in Lakewood

Denver, Colorado – September 29, 2015. The ArtReach, Inc. Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers are excited to announce the re-introduction of the ArtReach Festival of Trees after a ten-year hiatus. The event, which ran for more than 25 years, amazed and captivated the imaginations of hundreds of thousands of individuals and families with beautifully designed Christmas trees, live entertainment, and of course, Santa.

The location of this treasure is the heart of the 40 West Arts District at 6300 West Colfax. Presented by media partners CBS4, Mix 100, 92.5 The Wolf and Kool105, the two and half week festival will consist of public viewing time of the artistic creations, as well as Breakfast with Santa, a holiday gala, and other parties to attend from the day before Thanksgiving through December 13th. In addition, the event is sponsored and supported by Colorado Homes and Lifestyles; Denver Post Communities; Jay's Valet Parking, Luxury Transportation, and Pedicab Services; Hanzon Studios, Liberty Waste Management, Alpine Artisan Studios, Wizard's Chest, Swingle, Callahan & Company, Scott and Sharon Pope, and David and Cindy Hayes.

The event, displaying 100 years of Colorado Christmas history is chaired by ArtReach Board member Jeff Hovorka and includes trees designed by local artists such as Eric Matelski, Kyle Banister, Michael Gold, Brad Ramsey, and others under the creative direction of Christmas Wizard-in-Residence, Lonnie Hanzon. In addition to his career being a master storyteller through his art installations worldwide, Mr. Hanzon is currently designing the new location of Wizard's Chest. His other clients range from Neiman-Marcus to HGTV to the State of Colorado.

Serving Colorado Front Range arts, cultural, and human service organizations for more than forty years, ArtReach enhances lives within the community by providing access to arts and cultural experiences for people of all ages who would not otherwise have the opportunity. ArtReach exists to ensure people of all ages who struggle with physical, mental, behavioral or severe economic challenges have an opportunity to experience arts and culture. Every year ArtReach programs ensure that more than 35,000 individuals and families in our community have the opportunity to experience the Arts.
